Miss Shanghai began as an exploration of femininity and identity through the visual language of the city where I was born and raised. Drawing on fashion, old photographs, decorative patterns and the changing image of Shanghai, I created women who seemed to belong somewhere between memory and imagination.
Over time, these cultural and decorative references began to shift, while my attention increasingly turned towards the figure itself — its pose, presence, and the roles it inhabits
